Here's how KOOLGLIDE service/repair works for tools under warranty (tool owned less than 1 year).
STEP 1 Contact the KOOLGLIDE service provider in your area.
STEP 2 Be prepared to give the following information:
STEP 3 The customer sends in the tool with shipping prepaid.
STEP 4 An Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Technician will diagnose, repair and return the tool to the customer at no charge. There is a shipping and handling fee charge to the customer.
Only repair and service by an Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Technician is covered under the KOOLGLIDE Warranty.
Here's how KOOLGLIDE service/repair works for tools out of warranty (tool owned more than 1 year)
STEP 1 Contact the KOOLGLIDE service provider in your area.
STEP 2 Be prepared to give the following information:
STEP 3 The customer sends in the tool with shipping prepaid.
STEP 4 An Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Technician will diagnose the problem, estimate the cost to repair, shipping and handling charges, and contact the customer to inform him of the cost.
STEP 5 The customer makes the decision whether or not to go ahead with the repair, and agrees to pay by credit card. The customer's credit card information is taken at this time for the cost of the repair as well as the cost of shipping.
STEP 6 If the customer confirms YES to the repair, an Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Technician will repair and return the tool to the customer.
The KOOLGLIDE warranty is 1 year from receipted date of purchase to the first end-user. For example, if you purchased your KOOLGLIDE tool on September 1, 2006, then your warranty extends through August 31, 2007.
During this period we will repair, replace, or refund the cost of (at KOOLGLIDE's option), any tool to the first end-user. This will be done at no cost to you if the tool is determined to be defective in materials or workmanship upon evaluation by an Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Technician.
The following conditions apply to the KOOLGLIDE warranty:

If the tool is under warranty and a replacement of the tool is determined to be necessary by an Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Technician, the first end-user will pay for the shipping fee to return the tool to the nearest Authorized KOOLGLIDE Service Center. We will replace your tool at no charge to you. However, there is a shipping and handling fee charge to the customer.
